NEASC Initial Accreditation Visit 2024

As we are now in our third year of operation, we are able to begin our accreditation process. We have chosen to work with NEASC, the New England Association of Schools and Colleges – https://www.neasc.org/

We hosted our first foundation visit in December and were delighted to welcome two visitors: one from Dubai and one from Italy. They spent three days in school reviewing all of our curriculum, policies, strategic planning and health and safety measures, as well as meeting parents, pupils and staff.

We are delighted to share with you that we have been granted ‘Eligibility for NEASC Initial Accreditation’ and so begin the next stage which really unpicks our approach to learning and teaching.

This is a rigorous and challenging process and we are delighted to have received such a positive report! I won’t share the 38 page report, but do attach some summary statements. We were incredibly proud of the findings, summarised in the following way:

Beech Hall School Riyadh (BHSR) exemplifies a commitment to inclusive education and serves as a trailblazing model in Saudi Arabia. The school has achieved real progress, driven by a unified staff aligned with its vision to nurture independent, lifelong learners in a caring and inclusive environment. BHSR is characterized by a culture of transparency, respect, and open communication, providing, students, parents, and staff with ample opportunities to voice their perspectives in a supportive and non-judgmental setting. These combine to enable BHSR to engage deeply with the reflection required for a successful accreditation process.”

We will never rest on our laurels though and based on the objective recommendations of the report, we will shortly be creating an action plan on how we can continue to improve as a school. Parental involvement will be one of our action points so do please get in touch if you want to be part of that.

As ever, thank you for being part of our community.
